The twelfth and final issue in the Gone With the Wind: Golden Anniversary Series — Howard Rogers' painting of the honeymoon scene, Scarlett laughing up from a gold gown trimmed in dark fur, Rhett leaning over her with her hand in both of his. Warm ambers against deep blues, the richest palette Rogers used in the whole set. Fine china with a gold rim and his signature across the face. Officially authorized by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Turner Entertainment to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the film, and strictly limited to a maximum of 150 firing days. The plate that closes the series, and the one collectors chase last.
Includes: the original box, the numbered Certificate of Authenticity, and the illustrated title card
Measurements: 8.5 in round. Boxed 10.25 in x 10.25 in x 2 in.
Condition: The plate is excellent — colors bright, gold rim unworn, no chips or cracks, and the plain white reverse is clean. The original box shows its age, with toning and splitting along one edge. Sold as found — please see all photos.
